Storyboard · 5 scenes
- 0–5 sHook. An e-mail lands: “Your password expires today. Click here.” Title: “Would you click?”
- 5–18 sSign one. The sender address zooms in: the display name looks right, the domain doesn’t.
- 18–30 sSign two. A cursor hovers over the button and the real link appears underneath, pointing somewhere else.
Internal documents are written to be complete, not to be read. The new travel policy, the benefits enrollment guide, the security reminder: everyone gets the e-mail, few open the PDF. A 90-second video that walks through what changed and what to do gets much further.
Motiongist turns the document you already have into that video. The script sticks to the source, you review it before anything renders, and the result goes out as an unlisted link or as an MP4 for your intranet.
How it works
From a policy PDF to a video in the all-hands e-mail
- Step 1
Drop the document
A PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown file: the policy, a handbook chapter, the benefits guide. Pick the beginner audience so nothing assumes insider knowledge.
- Step 2
Say what matters
Use notes for the key moment (“the enrollment deadline”) and for anything to avoid, such as internal code names.
- Step 3
Review it with stakeholders
Read the storyboard with HR, legal or IT before rendering. Editing scenes is free.
- Step 4
Share it privately
Send an unlisted share link, embed the player on an intranet page, or download the MP4 and SRT. Revoke the link when the information changes.
Example
A phishing-awareness refresher in under a minute
What you give: “it-security-policy.pdf, section on e-mail. Remind staff how to spot phishing. Key moment: report it, don’t just delete it.”
What the video shows, scene by scene
- 0–5 s
Hook. An e-mail lands: “Your password expires today. Click here.” Title: “Would you click?”
- 5–18 s
Sign one. The sender address zooms in: the display name looks right, the domain doesn’t.
- 18–30 s
Sign two. A cursor hovers over the button and the real link appears underneath, pointing somewhere else.
- 30–42 s
Sign three. Words like “today” and “urgent” light up: pressure is part of the trick.
- 42–55 s
What to do. A “Report” button pulses as the narration repeats the policy: report it to IT, don’t just delete it.

Why Motiongist
Why it works inside a company
Your document is the source
PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown. The script sticks to it, and a fact review runs before rendering.
A handbook becomes a series
On the Team plan, a long handbook or training document splits into 2 to 12 short episodes, one idea each, reviewed before rendering.
Unlisted and revocable
Share links don’t appear anywhere public, downloads can be switched off, and you can revoke a link at any time. No account needed to watch.
Works on mute
Word-by-word captions are part of the video, plus an SRT file: readable in an open-plan office and easier to follow for everyone.
One message, every office
Narrate in any of 10 languages, with captions and on-screen text to match.
A shared workspace
Team includes 5 seats, so HR, internal comms and IT can work in one place under one invoice.
Good fits and poor fits
Good fits: policy changes, benefits and enrollment explainers, onboarding basics (how payroll works, who to ask for what), security awareness, and the reasoning behind a process change.
Poor fits: messages that need a leader’s own face and voice, sensitive communication to individuals, and anything confidential you would not put into an external tool.
Before you upload
Check what your company allows you to share with outside tools. Our security page explains how data is stored and which sub-processors help run the service. Videos are labelled as AI-generated, so tell colleagues that’s what they are watching.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Can only employees watch the videos?
Share links are unlisted, not password-protected: anyone who has the link can watch. For sensitive content, download the MP4 and host it on your intranet or internal video platform instead.
Does it connect to our HR system or single sign-on?
No. There are no HR system or SSO integrations. Videos are files and links you distribute through your own tools.
Can it turn our whole handbook into videos?
On the Team plan, yes: drop the document and it is split into a series of short episodes, one project each, which you review before rendering.
How faithful is the video to the policy?
The script sticks to the document, and a fact review runs before rendering. Policies have consequences, so have the policy owner read the storyboard before you render.
Can we make versions for other countries?
Yes, in any of English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish and Indonesian. Local policies often differ, so use each country’s own document as the source.
