Faceless channels

A faceless video generator for explainer channels

No camera, no ring light, no avatar pretending to be you. Motiongist turns a topic into a narrated motion-design short, writes the post copy and can publish it for you.

Faceless channels grow on ideas, not on a personality on camera: one surprising question, answered clearly, every day. What slows them down is production. Each short needs a script, a voice, visuals that hold attention for a minute, captions, a title and hashtags, and then an upload to three or four apps.

Motiongist covers that chain. A topic becomes a script, the script becomes scenes, the scenes get animated to a synthetic voice with captions, music and sound effects. Then the video page gives you post copy for each platform and lets you publish now or schedule. Nobody appears on screen, and nothing pretends to be a real person.

How it works

Running a faceless channel with it

  1. Step 1

    Collect ideas

Start from a niche and get angles with the free [video ideas](/tools/video-ideas) tool, or pick a format like myth vs fact or history in 60 seconds.

  2. Step 2

    Generate the short

One sentence per video is enough. Choose a voice that suits your channel, a look, and the short length (45–60 s) that the feeds favour.

  3. Step 3

    Keep one style

Reuse the same voice and look on every video so viewers recognise your channel, or apply your brand colors from the Solo plan.

  4. Step 4

    Post and schedule

Edit the generated title, description and hashtags, then publish or schedule to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn. Publishing costs no credits.

Example

Why planes leave white lines in the sky

What you give: “Why do some planes leave white trails and others don’t? Fun, fast, for a general audience.”

What the video shows, scene by scene

  1. 0–4 s

Hook. Two planes cross a blue sky; only one draws a white line. Title: “Same sky, different trail?”

  2. 4–16 s

The exhaust. A zoom into the engine shows hot, humid exhaust leaving into air far below freezing.

  3. 16–30 s

The freeze. Water vapour turns into tiny ice crystals, drawn as sparkles lining up into a trail.

  4. 30–44 s

The difference. A humidity gauge appears: in dry air the trail fades fast, in moist air it lingers and spreads.

  5. 44–54 s

Takeaway. “It’s a cloud the plane made”, with a follow prompt as the final title.

Why Motiongist

Built for faceless creators

  • No face required

Pure motion design by default. Want a recurring guide? Add the animated presenter, a drawn character rather than a fake human.

  • Post copy for each app

A title, a description and hashtags per platform, written from the script and editable before you post.

  • Publish or schedule

Connect your accounts once, then post now or pick a date for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn.

  • Made for the feed

Vertical 1080 × 1920, captions word by word, every element clear of the app buttons.

  • Cost per short, known up front

A short video is 400 credits plus the final voice. The quote is exact, and failed renders are refunded on their own.

  • Batch from one document

On the Team plan, split a long source into a series of episodes and review them before rendering.

Play fair with your audience

Videos are labelled as AI-generated, and platforms ask you to disclose synthetic voices and visuals when you post; we ask you to do the same. Write about things you have checked: when you give a source, the script sticks to it and a fact review runs before rendering.

Platforms set their own monetisation rules, and we can’t promise a channel will qualify. Original angles and your own scripts are what make a faceless channel worth following.

What it costs

One credit balance. A short video is 400 credits, a standard one 700, a long one 1,000, plus 1 credit per 10 narrated characters for the final voice.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Can I monetise faceless videos made with Motiongist?

You can use them commercially on a paid plan: no watermark, and final voices come with a commercial license. Whether a channel is accepted for monetisation is up to each platform.

Do I have to show an avatar or my face?

No. Motiongist doesn’t make avatars. Videos are motion design, with an optional drawn presenter.

How many shorts can I make per month?

It depends on your credits. A short video costs 400 credits plus the final voice. Solo includes 3,000 credits a month for $19; Studio includes 30,000 for $49. See pricing.

Can it post for me automatically?

You can schedule each video to a date and time on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn. There is no mode that invents and posts videos unattended.

Will every short look the same?

Each video gets scenes drawn for its subject, while the voice and look you choose stay constant, so the channel feels consistent without repeating itself.
