Clients ask agencies for more video than their budgets allow. A custom animated explainer is a project; a weekly series of them is a whole team. For explainers that live in social feeds, most clients need clarity and consistency more than bespoke animation.

Motiongist gives your team a production line for that work. Start from the client’s brief, deck or site, apply their colors and logo, review the storyboard internally, and send a share link for approval. Your strategists and writers own the message; the engine handles layout, animation, voice and captions.

How it works

A client explainer, from brief to approval

  1. Step 1

    Start from the client’s material

A brief, a page of their website, a deck exported as PDF, or a script your copywriter wrote and wants narrated word for word.

  2. Step 2

    Apply their brand

Each project carries its own brand name, colors and logo; the workspace brand kit is only the default. Brand look from the Solo plan.

  3. Step 3

    Review internally, for free

Your team edits, reorders, adds or removes scenes in the storyboard before a credit is spent.

  4. Step 4

    Send for approval

Share an unlisted page the client opens in any browser, with downloads on or off. Revoke the link when the project wraps.

How a city bike-share works, for a launch campaign

What you give: “Explain how the new bike-share works in three steps: unlock, ride, dock. Upbeat, for Instagram. Must show: the docking stations on a map.”

What the video shows, scene by scene

  1. 0–5 s

Hook. A city map lights up one docking station at a time. Title: “Your next ride is around the corner.”

  2. 5–18 s

Unlock. A phone mock-up taps a bike at the nearest station and the lock pops open.

  3. 18–32 s

Ride. The bike icon travels along a street line to another station while a small timer runs.

  4. 32–44 s

Dock. The bike clicks into place and a ride summary card slides up.

  5. 44–55 s

Call to action. The client’s logo, colors and the address of their sign-up page.

Why Motiongist

Why agencies use it

  • Each client’s look

Colors and logo on every title, chart and caption, imported from the client’s site and set per project.

  • Approval links without logins

Unlisted share pages with an optional button and download. Clients watch in a browser; you revoke the link when you’re done.

  • Seats for the studio

Team includes 5 seats, 4 renders in parallel and a single invoice with your tax ID.

  • Costs you can quote

Every render shows its exact credit price before you confirm, so client budgets hold. Failed renders are refunded automatically.

  • Plug it into your pipeline

From the Studio plan: REST API, webhooks and an MCP server, for teams that automate briefs and deliveries.

  • Multilingual deliverables

10 narration languages for clients whose audiences span several markets.

Good fits and poor fits for client work

Strong fits: product explainers, feature launches, onboarding videos, report highlights and educational series for a client’s social channels. Weak fits: brand films, anything that needs the client’s own footage or photography, and horizontal formats (16:9 is coming soon).

When the volume is too much

If a client wants a whole series produced for them, from scripts to delivery, our done-for-you production team can take it on, then hand the look and the scripts over to a workspace so production can continue in-house.

What it costs

One credit balance. A short video is 400 credits, a standard one 700, a long one 1,000, plus 1 credit per 10 narrated characters for the final voice.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Can we handle several clients in one workspace?

Yes, project by project: each video carries its own brief, brand name, colors and logo. There are no separate client sub-accounts, so organize projects by name and use share links for each client.

Can we white-label the videos?

Paid plans export without a watermark, so delivered MP4s carry only the client’s branding. On paid plans, the “Made with Motiongist” mention on share pages is optional. The studio itself isn’t white-labelled.

How do clients give feedback?

Over the share link and your usual channels; there are no comments on the video page. Apply changes in a revision: only what changed is rebuilt, at 50% of the base price.

Can we deliver the videos as client work?

Yes. Paid plans export without a watermark and final voices come with a commercial license. Videos are labelled as AI-generated, and we ask that the publisher discloses it.

Is there a referral program?

Yes. The affiliate program pays a recurring commission on payments from the customers you refer.
