The Reels people save are the useful ones: a budgeting rule, a posture fix, a pricing framework, three steps to do something better. They work because the idea is visual. A number appears, a bar grows, a list builds one line at a time. That is motion design, and it usually means an editor.
Motiongist builds those visuals for you. Paste the text of a carousel or a caption you already wrote, or give it a one-line idea, and it narrates the point while numbers, labels and diagrams animate on cue. You can match the look of your feed, review the scenes, and send the finished Reel to Instagram from the same page.
How it works
From a saved-worthy idea to a scheduled Reel
- Step 1
Reuse what already worked
Paste the slides of a carousel that did well as a script, and Motiongist narrates them as written. Or type the idea in one sentence and let it write the script.
- Step 2
Match your feed
Pick Light, Night or Illustrated, or import your site’s logo and colors into a brand kit and use the brand look from the Solo plan.
- Step 3
Review the scenes for free
Make sure every number on screen is right and the framework reads in the right order. Edit, reorder, add or remove scenes before you pay.
- Step 4
Schedule it to Instagram
Connect your account, edit the caption and hashtags drafted for Instagram, and publish now or pick a date. Publishing is free.

What you give: “Explain the 50/30/20 budget rule with a simple example. Friendly tone. Must show: three jars filling up.”
What the video shows, scene by scene
- 0–4 s
Hook. “Where does your paycheck actually go?” A paycheck splits into three empty jars.
- 4–16 s
50% for needs. Rent, groceries and bills drop into the first jar until it is half the total.
- 16–28 s
30% for wants. Dinners out and subscriptions fill the second jar.
- 28–40 s
20% for savings and debt. A savings bar grows next to the third jar.
- 40–52 s
Worked example. A $3,000 take-home pay counts up into $1,500, $900 and $600. Closing line: “A starting point, not a rule.”

Why Motiongist
Made for how Reels are watched
Readable with the sound off
Reels often start muted. Word-by-word captions carry the narration, and the key numbers appear on screen as they are said.
Framed for the Reels screen
Everything sits inside the vertical safe zones, so your caption overlay and the app’s buttons don’t hide the point.
Consistent with your grid
Apply your colors and logo from the Solo plan, or describe a custom look in one sentence from the Studio plan.
A caption you can post
Every video gets Instagram post copy from its own script, with hashtags. Edit it, copy it, or let the scheduler use it.
Scheduled from the video page
Publish to Instagram now or at a set time, alongside YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn if you post the same Reel there.
Turning a carousel into a Reel
A good carousel already has the structure of a short explainer: a hook slide, a few steps, a closing takeaway. Paste the slide text as a script, one slide per sentence or two, and add a must-show note for the visual that matters most. Use Words to minutes to check the script fits the length you picked.
What a useful Reel needs
One framework, not three. Numbers on screen when they are spoken. A last line that tells people what to do with the idea. The script writer follows that shape by default, and the storyboard lets you check it before rendering.
Videos are labelled as AI-generated. Use Instagram’s AI label when you post: the voice and visuals are synthetic.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Can Motiongist publish to Instagram for me?
Yes. Connect your Instagram account, then publish now or schedule a date from the video page, with the caption and hashtags you approved. Publishing costs no credits.
Can I upload my own photos or clips into the Reel?
No. Motiongist draws every scene as motion design; the only image you can upload is your logo. If you need your product photos in the video, add them afterwards in an editor.
Does the Reel include music?
Yes. Each video comes with music and sound effects mixed under the narration. There is no library of trending Instagram audio inside Motiongist.
Can I keep the same look on every Reel?
Yes. Pick one preset look and stick to it, or use your brand look (from the Solo plan) so every Reel uses your colors and logo.
What does it cost?
A short Reel (45–60 s) is 400 credits plus the final voice. The exact price shows before you confirm, and a failed render is refunded automatically. See pricing.
