Storyboard · 5 scenes
- 0–5 sHook. A parcel with a question mark on it. Title: “Doesn’t fit? Here’s how returns work.”
- 5–17 sStep one. A phone mock-up shows the returns form on your site, with the order number field highlighted.
- 17–29 sStep two. A label prints and the parcel gets packed, with the return window from your policy shown on a calendar.
Most store videos show the product. Motiongist explains it. It doesn’t use your product photos (the only upload is your logo), so it won’t replace a packshot or an unboxing. Where it shines is the questions that sit between “add to cart” and a happy customer.
How does the filter in this bottle work? Which size to pick when you are between two? Why does this fabric need cold washing? How do returns work, step by step? Each answer fits in under a minute with illustrated diagrams, and can live on social, on a product page, or behind a link in an order e-mail.
How it works
From a support question to a short that sells
- Step 1
Mine your support inbox
The questions customers ask before and after buying are your best topics. Type one as the subject, or paste the answer from your FAQ page as the script.
- Step 2
Use your policy as the source
For shipping, returns or warranty, link your policy page so the script sticks to what it says.
- Step 3
Brand it
Your store’s name, colors and logo from the Solo plan, imported from your website.
- Step 4
Post and link
Publish or schedule to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or LinkedIn, and give the share page a button that goes to the product.

How returns work, in four steps
What you give: “yourstore.com/pages/returns. Explain our returns in four steps for first-time buyers.”
What the video shows, scene by scene
- 0–5 s
Hook. A parcel with a question mark on it. Title: “Doesn’t fit? Here’s how returns work.”
- 5–17 s
Step one. A phone mock-up shows the returns form on your site, with the order number field highlighted.
- 17–29 s
Step two. A label prints and the parcel gets packed, with the return window from your policy shown on a calendar.
- 29–41 s
Step three. The parcel travels to your warehouse along a simple map line.
- 41–52 s
Step four. A refund card appears with the timing your policy states. Closing title: your store name and logo.

Why Motiongist
What it adds to your store
Illustrated, not photographed
Diagrams, cutaways and step-by-step scenes explain what a photo can’t: how a product works inside, or what happens after checkout.
Grounded in your pages
Link a product or policy page and the script sticks to it, so the video says what your store says.
Your store’s look
Name, colors and logo on every title and caption, imported from your site in one step.
Made for Reels and TikTok
Vertical 1080 × 1920 with everything inside the safe zones, post copy per platform, and scheduling built in.
A page that sends people back
Each video can have an unlisted share page with a button to the product, and a player you can embed.
Ship abroad, explain abroad
10 narration languages for stores that sell in several countries.
Good fits and poor fits
Pair the two kinds of video: a photo or a creator clip shows the product, a Motiongist short explains it.
- Good: how a product works, size and fit guidance, care instructions, setup steps, shipping and returns, the difference between two product lines.
- Poor: product showcases, unboxings, lifestyle content, anything that must show the real product.
Keep claims honest
Product claims in ads are regulated in many countries. Base the script on your product page, leave out claims you can’t back up, and review the storyboard before rendering.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Can I upload product photos or videos?
No. The only upload is your logo. The engine draws illustrated versions of what you describe, so name the shape, color and parts that matter in the brief.
Will it look like my actual product?
It will look like an illustration of it, not a photo. Describe the key features in the notes (“must show: the two-part lid”) and check the storyboard.
Can I use the videos in ads?
Paid plans export without a watermark, and final voices come with a commercial license. Videos are labelled as AI-generated; ad platforms may have their own disclosure rules.
Can I make one video per product automatically?
From the Studio plan, the REST API can start a video for each product page you send it, with a webhook when each one is ready. Every render still needs an approved quote.
How much does a video cost?
A short video (45–60 s) is 400 credits plus the final voice. Solo is $19 a month for 3,000 credits, and top-ups are 1,000 credits for $10. See pricing.
